"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for

MUCH of that "something."

Well this is my 6 weeks. Being on the Body leaness and applying hit to lose weight and gain muscle. My start weight 6 weeks ago was 235 pds. As of today i went to the sports clinic My results actually amazed me. My weight was 201 pds, Body fat %14 I still have work to do though, So i think this body leaness will be life long. Im already addicted to drinking a gallon of water and eating microwave meals. But i found out one thing in these 6 weeks, ITS NOT EASY! But if your dedicated you will see results, but you must set realistic goals. I just wanted this bad and i woke up one day and said No matter what it takes, i will not fail. Of course its hard especially when your out and just ready to rip someones head off for an big juicy ribeye and beer. But Dr.Darden really opened up my mind with his books, Without him i dont think i could have acheived my goals. His books are easy to understand he dont use these big Nasa words and details that u had to have graduated from harvard to understand. Well i guess ill quit writing now, im sure everyone is like shut the hell up already lol...
Thanks,

BisArmy,

I remember your motivation from 6 weeks ago. From what you've reported I believe you can lose another 17 pounds. That would put you at a body weight of approximately 185.

Continue with the plan for another 6 weeks. It will still be difficult, especially at some times. But keep your focus and let us know your progress week by week.

Is there a certain bodyfat % we should reach before proceeding to Phase 2?? Or should we focus on bodyweight??

In Phase 1 for me, I initially weighed in at 224 lbs with 22.2% bodyfat. I've decided to to add another 6 weeks onto phase 1 and I'm currently into my 8th week. I now weigh 204lbs with 18.5% bodyfat. Should I keep contiuing to cut fat?? And if so, where's the cutoff point??

Bisarmy,

F# amazing! (F sharp?)? I'm glad to see someone is using such musical terms to describe their results. Good work.

Bisarmy, what was your body fat percentage when you started? Do you know?

BisArmy,

It's difficult to be real accurate with the percent body fat measuring situation -- unless, you've done hundreds of them. That's why I used 185 pounds as a goal for you. Achieve 185 pounds and you'll probably be at the 6 or 7 percent level, which is lean enough to begin the next phase.

Great results. I too am jacked by the great response I'm having with Dr. Darden's material. Started off two months ago at 215 and am now down to 186. And that's with two severe bouts of flu along the way. Feels great doesn't it?

Dr.Darden i will post my next 6 weeks results.I know i can go down to 185 in 6 weeks for one reason ill work as hard as it takes to acheive it..LOL Everytime i look at food i feel guilty, i wanted subway and i pulled in and said to myself you havent worked your ass off for 6 weeks to give up and lose the battle. Its really really tough sometimes. But you cant argue with results. This has been the only diet and Muscle Building system ive ever found effective, all my friends have bought your New H.I.T book, because they seen that this really works.I dont know how to thank you ...Im just amazed.Your a Life Saver.

Dr. Darden,
I found this in the archive from when i was on the journey of weight loss and conditioning back in 05...Since then ive packed the weight back on, got lazy and got married and now im in worser shape than i used to be........

i sold my bowflex and all i have now is the bowflex select tech..Im really disappointed in having to start this thread after all the achievements i made back then......My question is can i get as good as results by using the select tech as i did the bowflex extrme? i have the bench and everything....

Yes, you'll be fine with what you have. Just apply the same motivation and discipline as you had before. With your experience, it may be a little easier this time around. Stay focused and let us know your week-by-week progress.

Just get back into it. The select may not be perfect, but some training with solid eating habits will get you some fat lose. Not as much as before maybe, but losing 10 pounds over the next 6 weeks is better than gaining 10 lbs.

Are microwave meals a good thing? Isn't there a healthier alternative?
