"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

To Dr. Darden and everyone,

I am having trouble with gaining strength. I have been lifting weights for several years and it seems like I am never able to get stronger.

I weight 225 lbs. and I seem to have a semi-muscular build but it is all worthless. I can't build strength on any lift at all its pathetic.

I was wondering if any of you could help me get stronger. Please I need some serious help. I go to failure on everything but I seem to not progress.

Thank you.

Hi

Try and get a copy of "Super Squats" by Randall Strossen. It's quite a short book and you can often pick up a cheap copy on ebay. Otherwise you can buy a new one direct from Dr Strossen's site, www.ironmind.com

It's a very simple muscle building routine but gives you a whole new view on how hard you are able to train in order to pack on muscle.

Good luck

Vern

Chris,

Try the BIG routine in chapter 22 of my book, "The New Bodybuilding for Old-School Results." It's my all-time best, mass-building workout.
