"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

Landau,
He is trying to make a living just like you.
I think you would appreciate his take on fat loss in that he is not a gimmick seller. That is just marketing.

I am not sure. Like most of the T-Nation writers, they have a real business outside of writing articles for T-Nation.

He is trying to make a living by lying about his credentials, unlike David Landau. SOURCE..

"LittleMick - Well, fuck it, I'm probably going to out myself by posting this. Whatever.

I train at Rickson's. Here is what went down.

Chad showed up, as a white belt. Knew nothing. Even though he lied when he wrote his "Hammer Down" articles saying he had a private BJJ coach. He got smoked by every white belt there.

Now, who cares, right? If you're new, you get smoked? But he had been writing articles about MMA and saying he trained BJJ and MMA. Lies. Period.

He was so immobile during class that he could barely do the warm-ups. He was big as hell though. Give credit where it's due. But no speed or flexibility at all. Any of the stuff he says about being mobile are total bullshit.

He handed out a bunch of free copies of his book. Ingratiated himself to everyone. So they let him start teaching a "Power Training" Class. It's basically a workout class.

Now, the guys at the school seem to like him. He kisses everyone's ass. Good for him.

He has said he's trained a "K-1" fighter. Lie. A guy (I'm not going to use names) fought in K-1 MMA. Chad was NOT his S&C coach, though Chad did give him a free copy of his book. I was there and saw him give away the book. Is that all it takes to be a S&C coach?

Now he says he trains "elite fighters." If you read his T-Mag articles, the guy pictures in his exercises demonstrations is not an elite fighter. Not even close. It's a nice guy, but not an "elite" fighter. Not going to drag him into this, as I like him. But, agian, he's not a fighter at all. Just a nice guy who does BJJ.

Chad did train Toby Grear (I use his name only because he said so publicly), who is a guy doing small shows - mostly TFA. I think someone who posts in this forum (not going to out him, either!) trains with Toby at 10th Planet. So he can get more detail on that.

He said he's training Kron. I don't know if this is true.

Oh, he and I also train at the same gym (Gold's in Venice). He lifts good weights, but nothing like what he represents on the site. He really isn't shit so far as Gold's is concerned. (Nor am I; but I don't claim to be doing 3X BW dead lifts, either.)

Long story short: "The Waterbury Story" is half outright lies and half exaggerations. He has respectable size and strength, but nothing near what he claims. And his BJJ/MMA pedigree is outright fraudulent. He trained for like one fucking month before quitting. He's still writing articles, though, lol."

This is not really relevant nor would anybody take this seriously.
Waterbury, as opposed to most people claiming to be experts regarding training, is a neurophysiologist.
Why don't you discuss what you like or do not like about his ideas?

The bs copied message about who Waterbury trained or did not train?
Seriously, that is not something we can discuss without being complete morons.

Respectable size? He's a fucking beanpole.

In his Arm Building article on his site, he says something about being heavier at one time and his arms getting "up near the 20 inch mark". If they broke 17, then either I'm a monkey's uncle or he weighed 400 lbs of lard at one time.

Even his alleged starting arm size of 13.5" is BS. It was probably more like 11".

It's almost like you know almost zero about what you are talking about but that can't be completely true. Too funny.

Wow, that's the biggest I've seen him in a pic. I stand corrected.

But 20"? Not.

Unless of course he was thinking of his thigh measurements...

It's almost like I have to wonder why you're so far up his ass.

Too sad.

I'm not going to spend any of my precious time digging, but previous pics I saw showed a tall guy who weighed maybe 180 or so.

Other than size, what's the difference between this recent pics and the one I saw before? Before he was hiding under some really baggy sweats...[CORRECTION]...though I see I had it backwards now.

Did you even know you were fawning over pictures more than 7 years old?

Hmmm... The article refers to him as a contributor "T Mag", which pre-dated "T Nation". It also says 1998-2003 at the bottm.

So the beefy guy are the old pics, and the skinny guy hiding under the sweats are the newer ones.

My bad for not knowing his Lavroneous transformation.

Obviously you are wrong but that really has no baring on his articles and excellent weight lifting programs.

There is no secret and the guy's who claim they know something others don't are full of BS. It is simple stuff and these guru's want to make it sound so complicated and scientific and it's not.

Follow the overload principle, eat a nutritious diet, get good sleep, and time your frequency for optimum recovery. That advise is not guru enough but, it's the absolute truth. The secret is, there is no secret.

Period? C'mon, I'm not the one with the schoolgirl crush on the guy... wait let me correct... with a shoolgirl crush on his pics from 7 years ago.

Excellent? IF one agrees with high-frequency training. Wrong forum for that song-n-dance, little girl.

Pardon me, but if you name exercises after yourself and constantly insert statements about your own historic (?) contributions to the Iron Game in every fucking article, then you need to accept all potshots, criticisms, critiques, and outright lampoons that come your way.

Get a room already, you two. Of course I'm refering to Chad and Himself. Sorry Summa, but the only way you're getting in is if you're wearing a CW mask.

LOL. I really don't care what he looks like. Is that important?
Can you blame him for having an above average ego? It's not like you don't know who he is. He does not know who we are. Do you not see anything he writes about as being somewhat valid?
Great results from his programs are pretty ubiquitous.
