"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."
This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

SouthBeach hasn't posted since CHRISTMAS DAY, or EVE, when he wished everyone MERRY... Perhaps, Entsminger & SouthBeach really the same person all these years! lol
In all seriousness, back in January, I messaged SouthBeach, and I still haven't heard from him. No matter what people say & do on the DrDarden.com website, I do wish everyone well, because I know life is tough, unlike people that have delusions that life is easy.
Anyway, I send my best to both Entsminger & SouthBeach, and anyone else that has been M.I.A. from the DrDarden.com website.

Anyone heard from from our friend Scott?
I think it's been a couple of months since he last posted and after recovering from colon cancer.
I'm hoping he is just taking a break from the Forum monotony.
I wish him well...

Hey thanks for thinking of me! I just finished my chemo and the doctor says I'm good to go even though there are a few specks that showed up on the CT scan that they don't know if they're cancer or something else. He says there's a 3 percent chance that it's cancer. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if anything develops from them?
At new years I was thinking of my new years resolutions, which I never really did before but when you get cancer you start thinking about what you want on your bucket list, and one thing was to get rid of some aggravation from my life so I can heal better. My wife and son immediately said to get off that forum and I agreed it had become more aggravation than a place to learn something with all the knuckleheaded folks ( you know who I mean) to put it nicely with their less than useful posts.
Besides the fact that it had become the same old arguments over and over again I was finding the interaction was bringing out the worst in me, not the best so I got off both this and the REN-EX forum.I'm back to working out pretty hard again and doing around 2 or 3 sets almost to failure and making better progress than when I killed myself as I always did where I'd push to failure or beyond and be sore for days and only be able to work out once a week at best.
Now I am working out 2 or 3 times a week and making small but steady gains back to where I was before.Hey, the Colorado,,I mean Virginia experiment, ha ha.. Yea, I noticed Southpark hasn't been on in a while(go figure?)so I hope he's off to a more relevant form for him self like a veggie forum or something! I'm still on my Nautilus forum but hardly anyone ever visits there so there's not much to talk about. For now good luck to you all and happy muscle building!!
Man it is good to hear from you and the good news! Things are sounding good for you.
I won't bother you to hang around here to avoid any potential aggravation (I get it), but check back every now and then! Always enjoyed you around here. It's too bad, I've seen many people "turn" to the dark side after being here for awhile and having their "Innocence taken" from them.
That a forum of no consequence, such as this one, with contributors of no significance, such as this one, should cause such distress to a wholesome and uncomplicated old man that his family pleads with him to refrain from attendance hereto?
Rather than absent himself, Ents should, when able, return invigorated and with purpose. And should he encounter those who consider it within their authority to call another idiot, faggot, retard, genius or moron,(reflecting more on themselves),he should tell them to fuck off.

Maybe some day I'll come back but for now I've turned my attention to something where I am actually learning something and that's sculpture. When I felt like all was lost when diagnosed with cancer I made up a bucket list and one of the things near the top was to get back to sculpting like I had many years ago. I've found a couple sites on Youtube where I am actually learning something productive! Imagine that!!Productiveness seemed to halt here and was even worse on the REN-EX site.
How many times can I read HIT is only this or our way is the best and all else sucks or is going to failure better than NTF etc etc..
The real problem is that this site and the other are full of wannabe bodybuilders who really haven't built any muscle to have the knowledge to argue anything. They have read a bunch of books and magazines and have suddenly became experts and they come on strong here like they are a garu of muscle building.
Most real bodybuilders with the exception of DR. Darden or Brian Johnston or Turpin shy away from these forums so most advice we get on here is from people who really don't know what they are talking about or trainers who are selling their method regardless if it actually builds muscle or not. Maybe when this site gets some decent moderation and topics are no longer so redundant etc and full of sniping I'll come back.

I came back to see if things had changed any lately and read the Cognitive Dissonance thread. It's like an anger management circle at some mental ward where everyone angrily yells their opinion at one another over and over again and then they move onto the next circle/thread and start it all over again.

Lol, the circular debate, the wonder of the internet discussion forum.
