"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

But what is the movement-pattern on it? Kind of a downward arc it looks like?

Jeff,

That is a Nitro Pec Fly machine. I have posted a couple of videos for you to see the motion. Clearly not all of these three have good HIT technique. Also, I am not sure that I like the movement of the people's heads in these videos (particularly the girl's) but I do not know for sure that you are supposed to keep your head in one position.

The second video also shows how to get out of the thing which is interesting.

This is Nitro pec fly, parody on 10 degree chest so to speak. We had one at a local gym. It is better than the pec fly where you have to grab the handles but still, far away from 10 degree. Puts you in an awkward position. There was also nitro pullover, that thing was outright terrible.

Ive had three generations of the pullover. The nitro came in a close second to my Tim Ryan modified plate loader.

IDK, I did not like it. I liked the plate loader converted from chain to cable, it seems to me it was similar to the one Ahnuld photographed in.

Series 3 was good. David International was good. Nautilus Evo was ok. Hammer strength was ok, you have to be tall to use hammer.
